Can anyone give me a heads up on how to extract information from a structural member in a GC model to an excel spread sheet?
Hi Richard
If the object has Catalog properties then its the same process as in OpenBuildings using the Schedules tool. In the Help, search "Schedules" then click on Schedules. The Schedules tool can be found searching the ribbon - type in "Schedules"
If the object has no properties the you can add properties by applying Catalog data with the property of the node.
An alternate approach would be using the ExcelRange node to push the properties of the node to Excel.

Thanks Stuart, is there any worked examples around of excelrange extracting info from an OBD structural member?
Without know what you you are trying to achieve, there's a worked example attached.
I got most of the formatting ideas from this thread. Its worth a read and the SIG recording is worth a watch.

You will notice the RangeAddress has some unusual formatting - "R1C1:R"+(structuralMember1.Count)+"C"+3. This is to remove N/A from blank fields and to specify the cells based on the number of entries.
Also the .Transpose() in the Value field to switch around the column and rows.
