Hi,
I am using GC within OpenRail but having issues when Opening GC. If you open GC and the dgn file you're opening has the 2d view as the active view, GC warns you that it requires a 3D view and does not open successfully.
What is the best way around this? OpenRail requires both a 2d and 3d model so only having a 3d model is not an option. I also want to avoid having to export alignments to a seperate file.
Is there a way of loading GC from within the vanilla OpenRail package?
Thanks
Matt
Hi Matt,
There are a few things that you could do here:
BTW, this is only an issue if it opens the 2D model first. It doesn't matter if your file has the 2D model as the default; it is only an issue when GC runs it's checks on file open and identifies that the active model is not a 3D model.
Cheers,
Ed

Thanks Ed, I will give these a go. Option 3 seems to be exactly what I am after.
Hi Matt
Some good suggestions there from Ed, but yes, GC only functions in 3D, but you raise a good point so we will have a chat about to over come that situation.
