GC within OpenRail 2D view issue

Hi Matt,

There are a few things that you could do here:

1. Use a different seed file that has a 3D model as the default
2. Use a commandline switch in the GC shortcut to specify the name of the 3D model to open to, in order to ensure that it will open with the 3D model active
3. If you happen to open to a 2D model first, you can always create a new 3D model. When you switch to the newly created 3D model the GC interface won't open automatically, however you can force it to do this by typing the keyin rd= which reloads the interface into the application.

BTW, this is only an issue if it opens the 2D model first. It doesn't matter if your file has the 2D model as the default; it is only an issue when GC runs it's checks on file open and identifies that the active model is not a 3D model.

Some good suggestions there from Ed, but yes, GC only functions in 3D, but you raise a good point so we will have a chat about to over come that situation.
