Using Generative Components, how do i use a Text Node to extrude a 3D Solid from.
I can do it using Microstation Solid tools, and have recorded a macro to do this, but still requires my input.
How can i do this with the nodes and functions in GC
I'm using GC inside OpenRoads 2020.3 (10.09)

Ideally, this can be done using a Text Node>TextDrop technique of Bspline node>OffsetFromSurface technique of Solid node. But it seems like the TextDrop technique is not working for some reason in my build(OBD U7). I have already reported this to our development team. But you may try this workflow in your build.

Looks like it is the same in OBD U6.
Error talks about text style issue.
Tried just using a function but it had an error as well.

A defect has been added for this issue.
Thanks for testing and reporting both. I had tried that method and I get the same issue in ORD 2020.3
