Hi,
I am exploring options to fill catalogue definitions properties within GC using an Excel sheet.
I have created Custom Catalogue Datagroup ("WALL_Custom, SPA_WALL") and some user-defined definitions (SPA_Asset, SPA_General, SPA_Geometry etc.) for the custom catalogue item. (Refer to the image below)
All custom properties are set to 'string' while creating them. I am wondering, how I can use an excel spreadsheet to fill these custom properties. I am confident using excel nodes but I am unable to input multiple values in custom properties.
For Example, the final product I want is similar to what I have done in "OffsetAboveCurve" {5000, 4000, 3000, 2000, 1000}, where I am able to define unique value for each element. I want to define similarly in the SPA_Asset_Asset1 field, something like {element1, element2, element3, element4, element5}.

Hello Jaimin,
So far datagroup properties are not taking the replicable values it is only taking single values and population that value to each element. We have raised this issue with our development team. We are hoping to get the issue fixed in one of the next updates. Defect Number: 1119566

Hi Alifur,
Thanks for the update. Appreciate your help creating the defect ticket.
Here in Australia, clients in infrastructure are keen to get more information out of the 3D models and we are trying to use GC workflow to fill in custom properties using excel. If you could solve these replication issues for properties it would be a great help.
Indeed, i agree with you totally. We should always use GC for this repetitive tasks. We should not need to go to the each element and assign the values separately, That would be tedious work. I will keep you posted about the defect.
