Does anyone have any luck on using ORD corridor to target geometry generated from GC?

I have tried several methods within GC that to output to the geometry to Openroads so that i can target that with my corridor. But so far no luck.....

It can be read by the program as BSpline curve but just can't target it. I tried polylines as well, still no working.

Appreciate if any1 have any suggestions.

Thanks,

  • Hi Wayne,

you can try as the following way:

    1. export a 3D alignment to a new dgn file.

    2. open it in OpenRailDesigner, I believe it's same if you opem it in OpenRoads.

    3. use the Plan By 3D Element functoin to project your 3D alignment on XY Plane, shown as the picture:

    4. use the Complex By Element function to get  the horizontal alignment, shown as the picture:

    5.

    6. use the Profile By 3D Element to get the horizontal ali's profile,

    7. after the previous steps, you have got a alignment with profile in OpenRail or Open Roads.

    8. try to create a corridor on that alignment,   the result seems good.
