Hi All,
After testing the Generative components script on a colleagues PC, the excel range node worked fine, with no error messages. He had the E3 version of Microsoft Office installed.
I had then thought the reason I could not Write/Read information to and from Excel was due to the fact that I had E1 version of Microsoft office installed on my PC.
I have since upgraded to E3 version of Microsoft Office but now have the following error message. Keep in mind this exact same script loads the excel information just fine on my colleagues PC with E3 installed.
I have tried repairing Microsoft Office and re-installing my bentley product.
Can anyone please provide a possible solution to this problem.
Is there a setting within Excel that I need to activate?
Thanks in advance
Regards
Hello Abdur,
Can you please check whether the updates of windows is same for you and your other colleague. This issue seems to be more machine specific.
Regards,Alifur
Hi Alifur,
I agree, this is very much a machine specific issue.
I have consulted a colleague who had replied with the following:
"I believe the issue is dodgy entries in the Windows Registry that are pointing to older installations of Office. We ran into this a lot when we still had an old version of Office installed with a newer version of Lync – applications were often programmed to look for the Office version and not the Excel version and thus kept pointing to the wrong location where they could not find an Excel EXE file. Can you please see if there is something like this happening?"
It has been agreed by IT to perform a rebuild on my machine.
Hope this solves my issues.
Kind Regards
Good day! Most likely a problem with updates, I had such a problem, I turned to a specialist He helped to deal with it. I remember the problem in Skoletko.
