Hey
Is it possible to make solids by using surface capping in an array of surfaces?
It seems to me that I can only do this one surface at a time. I need a more effective way to do this if possible.

The input only accepts one solid. One way around it is using by function and a simple for loop to go through the list of solids.
Hi All,
I know this is an old discussion,
Being a novice at GC how would I go about using a function to loop through a list of surfaces to cap as solids?or if there are some good tutorials on writing function happy to learn
thanks
Wayne
If you input Flatten({surface01,surface02}) into FunctionArguments field it should accept it as one surface. I think it would work.
It flattens the two surface lists into one list.
Oh. Sorry Forgot to remove the -1 that Volker mentioned. I copied this out of a node where I wanted it to ignore the last one.
Thanks Michael, I will give it a go.
Hi Guys,
Just one more question,
I have successfully capped the surfaces and it all looks good. I then tried to use the export node to output a dgn file for other to use but I may be exporting the wrong part of the solid node?
the results look correct in wireframe view but when you show shaded it is as though all the solids move down to origin. I tried to mesh the solids to see what that would do and it has the same result it converted all the solids to meshes but placed them all on top of each other at the origin.
Is there a special way to select the output of a solid by function?
Attached is a screen grab of the wireframe vs shaded view.
Hi Wayne,
Could you please post the script (or send it directly to my e-mail address)? A priori this looks like some sort of defect. If it is, then your script would help confirm this and provide developers a test case. If something else is going on here, then only analyzing the case closely will reveal that.
Thank you,
Volker
