Hi there,
I am quite new to the whole programming world in ORD.
I am trying to automate the process of creating optimised ground profile (using OpenRoads Designer CONNECT Edition – 2019). I have been recording macros to make sense of the VBA codes. I am not sure that's the right way to do it, any suggestions?
Still no answer to this? Are there any examples or any documenatations that could help?
I don't know of any VBA examples.
There are examples written in c# and C++, and help files delivered as part of the OpenRoads SDK
Hi,
Mark thanks for your response. I am open to use other programming languages. I had a look at the SDK examples, but I wasn't able to find anything related to automation of vertical alignment. If you know any example related to this, could you please post it here?
Cheers,
Sadie
I have just read in this post
https://communities.bentley.com/products/programming/civil_programming/f/civil_programming_forum/168896/vba-in-ord
'We do not support VBA access to the new OpenRoads Designer objects. '
Have you read OpenRoadsDesignerDeveloperGuide.pdf, on page 4 there is a summark of the provided examples
one of the examples included in the SDK
VerticalAlignmentCreator.cs ManagedSDKExample > Create > VerticalAlignments ManagedSDKExample > Create > VerticalAlignments > Line CreateVerticalAlignment() The user selects a horizontal alignment for which to create a complex vertical alignment. The user then places points within their chosen profile view, which are temporarily linked by a visible line. When the command ends, a complex vertical alignment is created from the points. Both key-ins above call the same function.
