I open a DWG file in Openroads Designer and export to DWG in the 2013-2017 version. I get a crash after exporting. When ORD crashes it displays an error message asking me to abort or ignore. The ORD window immediately shuts down. However, ORD is still open in the background (shown in task manager --> details tab). Is there a way to kill ORD after a crash - similar to the MX Kill exe? Any advice on how to write a bat file to kill ORD exe?
One of the KillMX.exe apps had and associated text file "Kills.txt" that you can edit and put you own exe names in.
Anything in this list will be killed, so long as you have the correct permissions to do so.
There is also a new app called KillORD.exe
This will allow you to do one of the following
1 - Restarted and ORD process that is not responding in windows (reopening the dgn the last installed ORD version)
2 - Restart All ORD sessions
3- Close All ORD sessions
Thanks Mark - where can I find these files?
Hey Dan,
Here's the old MXKill that has customisable processes - it annoyingly keeps the tool window open once it kills the process, so im not a fan. The "newer" MX Kill works better but doesnt have a customisable process list.
MX_Kill.zip
A better solution is to simply create a bat file with the line below:
taskkill /IM OpenRoadsDesigner.exe /T

I created the bat file as suggested. Seems like the simplest option. Thanks!
