The GIM file I said refers to the file format described in the "Interaction specification for the three-dimensional design model of power transmission and transformation project".
This is a document from the State Grid Corporation of China.
I need to read some data from the GIM file, it would be great if I have the relevant API.
Please follow the best practices: From your question it's not clear what product and version do you use.
Also be aware this is general Developer and Programming forum, and as such not so active. It's always better, when possible, to ask in product specific programming forum (e.g. MicroStation Programming forum). In the discussed case, because sounds like format specific to China, maybe to use Chinese forum would be the best (e.g. Chinese Programming forum).

You do not specify what product do you use, but products APIs allow to access the product function. Even in MicroStation, that supports a lot of formats, there is no API specialized to particular format.
For me, it sounds like you are asking not for product API (which can be discussed in Bentley forums), but for 3rd party application or maybe library/package for C++ or NET, allowing to read the format.

It would be really helpful to share the format specification or at least to link web page where it can be downloaded.

Thank you very much for your reply.
I really don't know which BENTLEY software I should use.
I saw from the .GIM format document that BENTLEY participated in the format design, and some Chinese forums mentioned that a certain software of BENTLEY can load .GIM files.
Maybe I should first ask "Which software can load GIM files".
Finally, my English level is relatively low, I used Google Translate, I hope you can understand.

Ok, so the question is not about programming of specific product, but what product to use.

It sounds like good idea.
I am not sure where to start, because I do not recall anything about GIM format (but there are hundreds of Bentley products). Maybe you can try to ask in some product (plant?) Chinese forum.

I see no problem with the used English :-)
