Hey everyone,
I am trying to place some text and although I have looked through all the properties and methods for a dimension in the help file I can't figure out how to get any points on a dimension apart from the reference points. Is there a way to get any of the 3 points in my picture? I need either the end points of the main dimenion line or a point on the text (the center would be ideal).
Thanks in advance for your help.
What programming language are you using?

One approach might be to use the DimensionElement.Drop method. That yields an ElementEnumerator of each component of the dimension. You can analyse each component for the information you want.
Drop does not alter the element that is dropped. Instead, it creates an ElementEnumerator that has elements that are equivalent to the original element.
In other words, once you've analysed the components you can forget them. The original DimensionElement is unaltered.
Thanks Jon that is exactly what i was after.
