Currently our Plotting application (.Net Visual Studio 2010) runs using Microstation V8i. Support is to be provided for Microstation V8XM also. Uninstalled V8i and installed V8XM by using "msspp08090401en.exe" and "ms08090451en.exe". Installed SDK using "mssdk081107172en.exe".
Compiled .ma file successfully using the SDK installed (using "mssdk081107172en.exe"). When the application is run the error occurs as "DLL Loader: Unable to load Bentleydgn.dll. MDL Loader: Unable to load library (DLL or MDL shared) bentleydgn". But otherwise when opened any dgn file directly in Microstation V8XM the files can be opened and plotted.
Could not find Bentleydgn.dll in the system. The same Bentleydgn.dll was available when I had installed Microstation V8i earlier. When copied the Bentleydgn.dll file earlier installed during V8i (from Backup) and copied to "C:\Program Files\Bentley\MicroStation" folder, error occurs like " OS could not load C:\Program Files\Bentley\MicroStation\Bentleydgn.dll, error 127 MDL Loader: Unable to load library (DLL or MDL shared) bentleydgn".
Is there different SDK version available for Microstation V8i and V8XM? Can this SDK - mssdk081107172en.exe be used for Microstation V8XM?
Please give help to overcome error.

Each major version of MicroStation has its own SDK.

Absolutely not! Use the SDK appropriate to each version of MicroStation

A reasonable complaint, given that Bentleydgn.dll is not part of MicroStation XM. Our web site provides some hints about that development issue.

I have requested my Microstation Administrator to download "MicroStation SDK - For Developers Only ver.08.09.04.88".
Infact I had earlier compiled .ma file for V8i based on the information available in your above suggested link
(www.la-solutions.co.uk/.../MdlDevelopmentEnvironment.htm).
I am posting this as I intend to give feedback and the status on your help.

Finished compiling .ma file after installation of Microstaion V8 XM SDK using mssdk08090488en.exe.
Able to use the same in the .Net Application.
