Hopefully the attached image will show what I am after, but what I would like some help on is to
have a macro that will uncheck all the boxes in the Change Text Attributes dialog window and check
the Slant box with a slant of 30 and change the Disable to Enable.
Thanks much,
Craig (carthurj@yahoo.com)

Have you tried recording a VBA macro to do just what you describe?
Phil,
I have not and I have not done that before. Can you get me started in the right direction.
Thanks,
Craig

Certainly... this topic comes up from time to time, and one such thread that should help is Macro or Keyin to change text Justification? Record macro? (even though it is in the MicroStation V8i community, it should still apply).
I tried recording and it seems to have recorded something, but I am not sure how to activate the macro the next time I want to slant the text. I am afraid I need some more advice.
Could you provide the .MVBA file you recorded?
The key-in to get the part you want about the slant is modify text;set item toolsettings changetextslanttoggle=1;set item toolsettings slanttogglelabel=30;set item toolsettings modifytextslant=0 but to have a key-in turn all the other toggles off is just too long.
Here are some of the other commands to toggle of the check marks;set item toolsettings changetextstyletoggle=0set item toolsettings changetextfontnumtoggle=0set item toolsettings changetextheighttoggle=0set item toolsettings changetextwidthtoggle=0set item toolsettings changetextintercharspacingtoggle=0set item toolsettings changetextjustificationtoggle=0set item toolsettings changetextlinelengthtoggle=0set item toolsettings changetextlinespacetypetoggle=0set item toolsettings changetextlinespacingtoggle=0
By doing the macro record that you recorded, you can run this by I think going to Utilities>Macro>Project Manager, you can then hopefully find the macro you recorded and hit run. If this works, you can then create a key-in to run the macro.

Thanks Kevin,
That is what I was looking for.
