I want to use the following keyin to match text attributes then change to the the text to the matched attributes and then change the text to upper case. The first two
work, but I am not having any luck with the last. I have the mdl textutil loaded already so I thought I could just say textutil chcase in order for it to work.
Wrong. What am I missing?
match text attributes;%d;modify text;%d;textutil chcase;%d
This from V8i help. It maybe the same in XM.
Key-in: change text case <UPPERCASE | LOWERCASE | TITLECASE | FIRSTCAPITAL>
V8i SS4 v.08.11.09,829AECOsim BD V8i
That command does not seem to work in XM. At least my version.
Thanks for your time.
XM is not V8i, so there is no change case without some other utility. The Textutil chcase does not support additional key-ins. It uses the tool settings dialog box to specify additional parameters.
on the Ask Inga Wiki, there is a VBA change case macro that you could modify to force a specific type of change case function. As written, it uses a dialog box to receive additional instructions.

try this .....match text attributes;%d;modify text;%d;null;textutil chcase;%d
Thanks Budlite for you suggestion. It put me on the right track. This is what I ended up using.
active text;%d;%d;lv=46;co=46;lc=0;wt=3;modify text;%d;textutil chcase;%d;%d
