Hi all,
I have a DGN file which has an attached reference file(DGN). How to read this reference file along with the main file?
From the microstation help, I got that we need to activate the attached reference. How can we activate the reference without disturbing the current active model ? I did not find any API to activate a reference. Please somebody help me.

DGN files contain models. A model may have reference attachments, which are themselves a model in a DGN file. That is, DGN files do not have attachments.

The attachments are modelreferences. You would normally use the modelrefiterator and get the model reference you are interested in. Most of the API will take in a model ref as a parameter so you can work with the references as just another model. I don't think that you are looking to activate the model but there is api in the MicroStationAPI to do this as well.
