Hi all
How can I in vba save a v8 file as a v7 file where I control the remapping of the levels with a csv file?
I want to control which levels the v8 levels are converted to in the v7 file.
Kind regards
Morten
Hi Morten,
you can use SetCExpression
SetCExpression "g_remapOptions.remapFileName", "yourfile.csv"
SetCExpression "g_remapOptions.destV7.remapLevels", 1
and then call SaveAs with msdDesignFileFormatV7.

Hi Marcel
SetCExpression? I cannot find any documentation on that function and v8i do know it. What am I missing?

Marcel intended to write SetCExpressionValue.
It's documented in VBA help

Hi Jon
Yes, we have also just discovered that :-)
But thank you anyway.
Hello,
I would like to accomplish this in a script file along with some other key-ins. Can you tell me the MDL syntax for
setting the "g_remapOptions.remapFileName" variable?
I used the following succesfully for turning on the remap options:
mdl keyin calculat calc g_remapOptions.destV8.remapLevels=1
mdl keyin calculat calc g_remapOptions.destV8.remapFonts=1
mdl keyin calculat calc g_remapOptions.destV8.remapLineStyles=1
mdl keyin calculat calc g_remapOptions.destV8.remapColors=1
mdl keyin calculat calc g_remapOptions.destV8.remapWeights=1
Thanks,
Dan
Using the VBA implementation as an example, map the VBA GetCExpressionValue to MDL's mdlCExpression_getValue function. Post further questions about MDL to the Programming Forum.
