I have and regularly use the ActiveAngleAssistant.mvba with V8i and up until today it has worked fine. Now for some unknown reason I can not even load the mvba without it locking up MicroStation. The MVBA has not changed and I even replaced it with files directly downloaded from here and got the same result. I have it set to load that MVBA in all of my project configurations and it appears the problem is only affecting my computer. It's already taken me most of the day to track down what was causing the problem, but I still have no idea why. There have been no program or Windows updates since yesterday when it was still working. I'm thinking I'll have to use a restore point on my computer from last week to see if it fixes the problem. Anyone have any other ideas what might have changed or gone wrong?
Hello, it's been brought to my attention that Active Angle Assistant is causing AECOsim Building Designer to hang on Windows 10. The macro was written by a user in 2005 and distributed on AskInga as unsupported Freeware. This program was written for use with MicroStation and has never been tested on any applications developed since that time. As well, the operating system it was written and tested on was Windows XP which has since been depreciated. That said, a savvy programmer might be able to troubleshoot and possibly update this popular macro so that it runs without issues on todays modern software and hardware. Thank you.
