MicroStation CONNECT Update 7 documentation has some hints that Picklists are to be introduced to Item Types. That is, the ability of an Item Types schema designer to add a list of possible values that an Item instance can store.
Can we expect to see a C++ API for Picklists? We already reinvented that wheel for AreaAnnotator, so I don't want to go any further down that route.
Hi Jon,
We are coming back with picklist for ItemType. Please refer to https://communities.bentley.com/products/programming/b/weblog/posts/basic-examples-for-managed-apis-of-pick-list

Thanks, but that's a .NET API. My question is about C++ and the MicroStationAPI.

I am bit cautious while exposing native APIs. I am still testing and want to test native APIs w.r.t. feedback for whole feature and managed APIs. So, those native APIs and respective SDK example and blogs should be available in next update.

I'm pleased to see the Picklist API documented for both the MstnPlatformNet and the MicroStationAPI.
Unfortunately there's no C++ CustomProperty::PickListName property that lets us assign a Picklist to an Item Type Property.
