I have recorded a macro in microstation v8i ss4 and I have created a command button through userform in visual basic editor. But I am not able to place the command button in the drawing and run the macro. How should I link the command button to the macro so that when I place the command button in the drawing and when the user clicks on that button the macro should run.
Look in the help file for 'Loading and running a VBA macro' - you need to load and display your form. The command button does not get placed into the drawing, you would display your UserForm and work from there.

You're thinking of the Excel way of doing things. With MicroStation VBA, you design a UserForm to hold your buttons and other UI components.
Here's an example VBA project. Open the project in your IDE and look at module modMain.
modMain
