MicrostationConnect Text Element

I need to add text element in line element end point, So I set the text element origin point as line end point. But the text is far away from line element end point around 1000m. Kindly share your thoughts if I need to change in Microstation Connect settings.

  • Hi Priyanka,

    MicrostationConnect Text Element

PLEASE! Read and follow this forum best practices. There is standardized subject format recommended and also it's defined what information should be shared.

There is nothing like MicroStationConnect. Be precise (as the whole software development is) and do not corrupt official names. The product is MicroStation CONNECT Edition Update <number>, possible to be abbreviated to MStn CE Ux.

You do not provide any information what language do you use and what MicroStation CE version. If it's VBA, please change the subject to standard format, e.g. "[CE Ux VBA] Text Element position".

So I set the text element origin point as line end point.

Share your code! It's not clear what you did and using what language. Usually the best approach is to create a proof of concept using simple model (one element) and to share it together with the code (which in this case will be just a few lines), so the situation will be clear and anybody can quickly test it.

ut the text is far away from line element end point around 1000m.

Did you search this forum for similar discussions? I recall problems with text elements have been discussed several times, when coordinates were not in master units (which is VBA approach), but in working units (which is how native API works). I have not enough time to search, but maybe it's the same problem?

    With regards,

  • Hi ,

As Jan recommends it is good to provide a few details like: a.) what language you are programming in, b.) a code snip (working or not - using the Insert > Code editor feature), and c.) posting new questions following the forum best practices to help inform what product, approximate version/release, programming language, and general issue you are having.

If you can provide a few details like above I am sure helpful answers will follow shortly.

    Thank you,
    Bob
