For years I have had the Project Window or view top Left, below it the Properties window or view
On the Right top was the Code displayed and below that was the immediate. I must have bumped, touched or hit something. I cannot seem to get the immediate back below the code
I will get a Vertical view, or the whole screen, but when stepping through a program (F8) it is handy to have the immediate below and see the Debug.Print information.. I made the box in Paint to attemt to show the location of where it was and how I would like to get it back.
Tried to show via the red rectangle where the immediate view/window was . It was at the bottom all the way across below the code. When you opened a file to edit or stepin the code was above. The immediate window/view below. anyone help me get it back ? I have tried 3 hrs yesterday and about 2 today. been using View, Tools>options>Docking
right now only Immediate Window, Project Explorer, Properties Window are ticked. The Window selection has a check box beside Module Code, unable to capture it ?

The IDE is common to all implementations of VBA. By far the most prolific programmers are those writing code for Excel. I suggest that you search the web for hints on how to use the VBA IDE.

I jumped the gun in thinking I had it, when I opened the code window it covered everything else. I now
have a screen full of them all the way across.
Now I really have a mess, Do I understand the problem goes to the VBA IDE ? I know nothing about that. Is there anything that will undo the mess back to where it was like restoring an older backup ?
Please understand it is not the using immediate but where it sits on the screen when open
They used to be Project View top left under it was the Properties view and to the right on the bottom was the immediate view. When you open a code view it filled the rest of the screen but knew the boundaries and did not cover the other views when docked. I still did not sure if the VBA IDE is where locating these views is the answer.
Jon, Jan are you sure the way to fix how they dock is in the VBA IDE ? Anyone be of assistance on this issue. The more I try the more I mess it up. I did get this 1 time (view below)

Sorry, I do not just understand where the problem is. VBA editor is pretty standard (even when a bit obsolete) Windows application, supporting dialogs dragging and docking. So why you do not e.g. close all dialog, start with one selected, dock it to its correct position and to repeat it with all dialogs you want to keep open?

Do you have the backup you mentioned?
Why to do not use Internet and to search for e.g. "VBA editor reset layout". I received a lot of results, explaining how to remove what VBA editor remembers about current state, e.g. this one.

Because it's not MicroStation issue, but general VBA question, I recommend to use some from a huge amount of forums about VBA development, e.g. StackOverflow (where you can find even the answers).

I have backup for the whole ProgramData,not sure what to restore ?
Some good news Jan, I kept fooling with it and got the 3 windows docked , Immediate is now at the top but I can learn to look up instead down at the bottom. I tried for about 20 hrs off and on to get this, I am leaving well enough alone unless your able to tell me the name of the file to restore ??
At least I got the Projects & Properties back to old location, the Immediate I can live with. What would I backup to
ensure I have a copy of at least this. Thank you, Jon and all the great folks that help us others out. it is 4:00am
