Assign point controls to smart solids

Is it possible to add point controls to smart solid or parametric solids so that they can be manipulated according to those points

Thanks for the response. Here's the definition of point control according to the internet :

"To understand point controls, let's imagine you are working on designing a road. In the design model, you would have various elements such as curves, alignments, and profiles. These elements consist of points or vertices that define their shape and position.

With point controls, you can select and manipulate these individual points to make precise adjustments to the design. For example, you could move a specific point to modify the alignment of a road curve or adjust the elevation of a particular vertex in a profile.

Point controls provide you with a high level of flexibility and precision in making design changes. Instead of modifying an entire element, you can focus on specific points, allowing you to fine-tune your design to meet specific requirements or optimize certain aspects.

By using point controls, you can easily adjust the geometry, elevations, or other properties of individual points to achieve the desired design outcome. This feature enhances your ability to create accurate and efficient designs while maintaining control over specific details."

I am trying to use it so that the cells we create can become dynamic, meaning when a cell is placed in the design file it can be modified instead of changing the original cell in in the .cel file, same way you would include point controls in your corridor model, manipulating a template to do what you need it to do but not changing the original template in your ITL file.

Sorry, I am not interested in definitions from Internet. I still do not understand whether you talk about some standard MicroStation feature (in such case, what tool?) you want to set from your own code (C++, NET?), or to implement completely new functionality.

but not changing the original template in your ITL file.

What is ITL file? We are in MicroStation Programming forum, so I assume you use MicroStation CONNECT Edition. ITL file is nothing that is used by this product. Can you provide some explanation what ITL file is?

same way you would include point controls in your corridor model

Are you talking about corridor feature / tool, available in civil products like OpenRoads Designer or OpenRail Designer?
