In Microstation V8i the view has an option to enable scrollbars on view windows. It can be found under Workspace/Preferences/View Options.
My question is how can I turn it on from code or with a configuration variable? I'm using mdl with cpp.
One way would be to set userPrefsP->extFlags.borderlessViews from within a MicroStation session -- 0 for scroll bars, 1 for no scroll bars. Note that when you do that, you will have to close and reopen the view windows to see the change.

As expected, but do you really want to restrict users that way ?!
I would pull you through the telefon line if your app would do this to my user settings ;-)
Maybe you have to fullfill company internal standards, but still very restrictive (imho).
