I read everywhere in the forum that the Microstation Addin Wizard for Visual studio with the installation of the SDK is installed.
The installed SDK is mssdk081107172en.exe and I installed it fully.
No Microstation Addin Wizard available.
The development environment is MS Visual studio 2005 pro, the system is Windows 7 and I would like to work with the MicroStationAPI for C++.
Any help is appreciated.
Regards
I believe that version of the MicroStation SDK is what is available as the "evaluation" version... it is not the current one. Originally, the Visual Studio Wizards were available to Bentley Developer Network members via the private BDN communitiy. They were added to the MicroStation SDK in v081109209 and are in the current release of the SDK... v081109460en, which can be downloaded from SELECTservices Online by SELECT subscribers and Bentley Developer Network members.
Thanks for the fast answer. Now clarity prevails.
That is then probably bad for me.
The maximum problem is, it does not give apparently, in the entire Internet, not only one documentation, how Visual studio is correctly furnished, in order to provide a simple “hello world” or a mini mini „press the button and say hello“ application in C++ (not MDL) for Microstation.
For some days I feel like Aschenputtel those look for their peas.
That is frustrating.
If you are just starting, we recommend first getting your environment set up and compiling one of the delivered examples. You do not need the Wizards to compile an application. As a default, here are some simple steps to compile the MyApp application for a straight, out-of-the-box, default installation (if you change any of the folder locations during the installation of the MicroStation SDK, you will need to use the folder structure you selected in some of the steps below):
Once you have done the above, again assuming defaults for everything, you should have an application that you can run in a MicroStation session.
Thanks for the answer.
I spoke with my customer. He is since many years a customer from Bentley.
The customer has the necessary service level.
The SDK mentioned “v081109460en” is not available via the SELECTservices Download.
The linked SDK is "mssdk081107172en.exe".
Just for clarification...
There have been two updates to SS3 after its initial release.

Jon is correct, and to add to that, the MicroStation SDK is in the SELECT Released download category of SELECTservices Online, so make sure your search criteria is:
before you click the Search pushbutton.
