What do the old function "strpspc "

strpspc = strip spaces

It will remove leading and trailing spaces for a character string.

C++ Trim Methods

If you're writing C++ then install Boost.  Now you can use Boost.trim...

#include <boost/algorithm/string.hpp>

using namespace std;
using namespace boost;

// ...

std::string str1 (" Bonjour tout le monde! ");
boost::trim (str1);      // str1 == "Bonjour tout le monde!"

Or, just use the Bentley WString class (#include <WString.h>),.which has a Trim method.

C or MDL Trim Functions

If you build a pure MDL function, strpspc and its wide-character version mdlWideChar_trim are available.
