Hi All
I have a VBA that uses the MSCOMCTL.ocx file and treemain. It works great with Office 1007-2010, but it fails with Office 2013. I have been doing some research and it appears to be the 64bit part of Office 2013. I have deregistered the ocx file and re-registered the new version. I have tried to install office 2013 32bit. But it always fails to load. I have even tried the option to not use the icons
Does anyone know how to get this to work with Office 2013.

Does the same problem occur with VBA for Microsoft Office? That is, if you move your UserForm with TreeView to VBA in an Office app. do you still have the same problem?

Take careful note of the directory of the control you are referencing since it should reside in C:\Windows\SysWow64\ directory for 32-bit COM applications to work within 32-bit MicroStation VBA apps. Microsoft has stated that existing 32-bit application code relying on the Microsoft Common Controls (32-bit) will not work or be provided for any Microsoft Office 64-bit program. When checking on Google for "Microsoft Office" + "64-bit" + "Treeview", I noticed some results on how some developers are working in the ribbon interface substituting/replacing their Treeview code successfully.

Using mscomctl.ocx will become a nightmare sooner or later. Try to avoid it!
For now:
In the references dialog of Your VBA project, when You select the Common Dialogs entry, a path is shown. Does this path seem to be plausible? If not, deselect this entry and re-add it by chosing it from file dialog.
Good luck!

Apparently Microsoft broke the common control DLL registration a year or two back. They released this fix. Let us know if it helps.
A VBA example for making a tree (without MSCOMCTL.ocx) can be found at www.jkp-ads.com/.../treeview.asp
