The MstnPropertyFormatter schema provides formatting information for many units. That list includes acres for measuring large areas in the US. The analogous unit in the rest-of-world is the hectare. 1 ha = 10,000 m2.
The absence of hectare in the MstnPropertyFormatter schema means that there is no built-in way to format an area in hectares. This idea proposes that Bentley Systems add hectars to the MstnPropertyFormatter schema so that we can create, for example, a text field that shows the area of a shape measured in hectares. As a consequence, code that we write using the MicroStation APIs to use and format a shape's area property will work automatically with hectares.
