Can I temporarily disable/pause MicroStation's iDesktop integration?
I'd like to disable it selectively while MicroStation is already running and logged into ProjectWise's via its iDesktop integration. I'd like to maintain the ProjectWise login upon un-pausing iDesktop. Is this possible?
This comes from here (but there's no replies there yet so I'm cutting this up into pieces):

Ooh... flash update: We are looking again into the code which temporarily turns off ProjectWise integration in MicroStation. We tested it earlier and it didn't work, but now we see that the necessary function was moved to a different DLL. We'll dig into that anew now.
I'll come back to this post once we see how that pans out.
That didn't work. So... I'm back to hoping someone answers my original question above.
Anyone?
Hi Eiren,
Does the keyin "EXPAND SET PW_CHECKINOPT = 0" do what you want? Use this to disable check in dialog and remove config variable to re-enable it. We use this a lot with vba macros we need to quickly switch DGNs while integration is active.
Here's some info from mcm.user.cfg:
#---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------# Variable:# PW_CHECKINOPT# Description:# Controls whether or not exclusively checked out documents are automatically checked in when they are closed.# Value(s):# undefined - Show checkin dialog.# 0 - Don't show checkin dialog and don't Check in the active file.# 1 - Don't show checkin dialog and Check in the active file.# Default:# Disabled, set to 1# Purpose:# Customization# When to enable:# When don't want to show the checkin dialog.# When to disable:# When want to show the checkin dialog.

Thank you, Mark. We tried that and it did not work. Sorry for the slow reply to you about this.
