Hi,
I am totally new to ProjectWise hooks. Could you please provide a starting point as to how I can start using Action Hooks when a document is checked in using C#? Or how to configure and invoke a Action hook function from C# code?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Aparna
ProjectWise API access with C# The ProjectWise SDK is a set of header files and link files that allow a C++ program to interface with the DLL files in the bin directory of ProjectWise. You can interact with those DLL files with a C# program but in a different way prepaidgiftbalance.
Any pointers on how to configure and invoke an Action hook function from C# code?
There are C++ examples in the SDK samples folder. I have never done a hook in C#, only C++ because it is a complex thing to do. All of my C# experience has been to hook in with an MRR file (menu). The tricky part is the hook registration and capture. You really need to understand how the C++ code works and what the calls do before attempting to implement a C# wrapper for these api calls.
This library provides a C# wrapper around the hook procedure that can be used from a Windows Forms application. ProjectWise Share is an instantly available, easy to configure File Sharing Service that's associated with a CONNECT Project. mi ocado
Aparna Kapaley, Take a look at the sample I placed here: https://communities.bentley.com/products/programming/projectwise_programming/m/mediagallery/275511
You should of course take a look at the documentation about hooking if you haven't done so already. My HookWatcher custom module can be helpful in discovering which hooks are being called for specific actions. That code can be found here: https://communities.bentley.com/products/programming/projectwise_programming/m/mediagallery/275510
