Is there any example available showing how one can read files in projectwise using a python script?
I assume that there would be an authentication step at the beginning, but I don't find specific documentation that explains that
Also, how can I read a file given the ProjectWise Address?
I am particularly interested in accessing an excel file saved in Projectwise(read only) from one particular project

because your question belongs to "software development" area, I recommend to move it to ProjectWise Programming Forum. To move it, use More > Move tool under your original post.
My experience with ProjectWise programming is limited, but in my opinion the best way (and probably the only one when talking about Python) is to access ProjectWise using REST API. There is ProjectWise Web Service Gateway (mentioned in this wiki article) that extend ProjectWise server with REST API. And REST is standard, so you can find plenty of articles how to work with GET/POST HTTP communication in Python.
