The situation is
We are testing to download the file from wsg url using Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. The wsg can login and download using Mozilla Firefox but it is not allowed us to download using Google Chrome, even the login session. Please help us if we need to do something on Google Chrome setting to allow wsg file download using Google Chrome.
Hmm. I'm not seeing an issue here when using Chrome or Firefox or IE. Maybe you've got some expired credentials hanging out somewhere? Here's what a valid link would look like: https://decide-pwce-us-ws.bentley.com/ws/v2.8/repositories/Bentley.PW--decide-pwce-us.bentley.com~3Adecide-pwce-us-10/PW_WSG/Document/f77c5585-40eb-46c8-89dd-fea64a21b07b/$file. You should then be prompted to supply credentials to connect. Logical, domain and IMS credentials all seem to work OK for me.
Here's some PowerShell showing a more generic approach to downloading files that would not be browser-specific.
[System.Net.ServicePointManager]::SecurityProtocol = [System.Net.SecurityProtocolType]::Tls12$downloadURL = 'decide-pwce-us-ws.bentley.com/.../$file'#works with Basic and logical account$Text = "username:password"$Bytes = [System.Text.Encoding]::UTF8.GetBytes($Text)$EncodedText =[Convert]::ToBase64String($Bytes)$authVal = "Basic " + $EncodedText#from PWPS_DAB$random = Get-RandomString -Length 10 -Characters "abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz"Invoke-WebRequest -Method Get -Uri $downloadUrl -Headers @{Authorization = $authVal} -OutFile ("c:\temp\" + ($random) + ".pdf")
The Communities software mangled that address a little bit. $downloadURL should be the whole link including the https: protocol prefix and ending with /$file to initiate the download. Note that I did have to use single quotes in PowerShell to get the $file to appended properly.
BTW, you can download MostOfDavesTools here: https://pwstorageazure.blob.core.windows.net/public/MostOfDavesTools.zip
One of the tools you can install from that MSI is called "Email Links" and it is an easy way to get WSG download links from ProjectWise Explorer.
