Hi,
When I fetch a document using aaApi_FetchDocumentFromServer, I want to receive in a buffer or as a stream instead of writing to the disk as a file. Is there any API supported to fetch as a stream? Thank you.
Regards,
Ramnath.
Unfortunately, I don't have any direct experience with file streaming from a ProjectWise datasource, so I can't provide a definative answer. Looking through the .h and .fdf files, there appears to be support for some type of file streaming, but it also appears (to me) that it is dependent upon the application requesting the file as it appears to be tied to the file's mime type.
I know that ProjectWise had support of the streaming of "point clouds" in the past (I'm not sure of the current status though), and here's a link to how to enable that on the server side of things: https://docs.bentley.com/LiveContent/web/ProjectWise%20Administrator%20Help-v8/en/GUID-B9554607-7E00-A493-FDF8-81E2D87A69EB.html
I'll see if I can get a more definitive answer for you, but I suspect that the answer will be no to your question about a way to stream any type of file instead of writing to disk.
Thank you Dan, I will verify what you suggested.
