please respect the best practices: You do not provide any information about used product and its version, so your question cannot be answered. Moreover, you posted your question to general Developers and Programming forum, which also does not help to distinguish what product is your question about.
Before the discussion can continue, you have to share information about the used product, its version (build number) and also API or language you prefer to use.
I also recommend, depending on what product do you use (is it ProjectWise?) to move your question a proper forum (e.g. to ProjectWise Programming). To move existing discussion to another forum, use More > Move tool available under your original post.
