We would like to move data (1 TB) from Projectwise Datasource to Azure Blob storage. Any suggestions/Process will be appreciated. Thank you.
Adam the Automator has a good post here about copying files to Azure Blob Storage: https://adamtheautomator.com/copy-files-to-azure-blob-storage/
So, obviously, you could use Export-PWDocuments or Export-PWDocumentsToZip or just CheckOut-PWDocuments from PWPS_DAB and copy the files up with Adam's function. You could also use RClone (or something similar) to just mount Azure Blob Storage as a drive and export to there. This script should install the pieces you need:
Your post would probably be more relevant in the PowerShell forum.
Thank a lot Dave.
Is there any solution for direct copy from ProjectWise to Azure Blob Storage with out local copy?
Any suggestion appreciated.
Thank you.
Sure. Just mount up Blob Storage as a drive with RClone and export directly to there. Should act just like a disk drive. I've found I have to experiment with the credentials and the service identities, but you can make it work.
Thank you Dave for your prompt response, will try and update the same
