Having an issue using the Import-PWvies command in PowerShell. I've used the Export-PWViews to export the view I need to have in all of my datasources. When I try to do the import using the following in just processes for about a minute and then restarts my Powershell:
Import-PWViews -InputFileName C:\Temp\Pwise\Export\Views\ViewFile.xlsx -ViewNames ImportView -OverwriteExistingViews
I've tried this with PWPS_DAB version 2.1.3.0 and 2.1.10.0 with the same result. There are no errors and nothing is changed in the datasource. Has anyone else see this happen.
Thanks,
Frank
Try turning on -verbose, that might give an idea of what's going on. in 2.1.10.0 for me it lists each view and it's columns as it creates them.
This worked fine for me but I did have to log out of the datasource and log back in before I could see the imported views.
Could it be caused by a mismatch in Environment assigned to a view? My test views didn't have environments.
Hi Kevin, Thanks for taking a look at this. I tried to add -verbose to the import command. I ran the export with an environment associated and without. I got the same result on the imports. The import processes the first 4 attributes of the view and then it restarts the powershell session. Loging out of the datasource and back in there is no view created.
Wow, that's a big crash. Are you running 32 or 64-bit powershell? If 32, try the 64-bit.
Yea. I'm using 64-bit on everything. I'm resorting to creating them manually in my production datasources. But it sure would be nice it this worked. I need to put at least 1 view in 12 datasources.
What version of explorer is installed?
I'm using 3.434 PWE and Admin.
