Hi All,
Bentley Projectwise has some APIs, but not sure if these support automatic data extraction.
If it supports, then how to implement it?
I have a project that asks to do data extraction from this tool (data source) to a database.
Thanks, guys
Hi Arlene,
be aware this is general Developers and Programming forum. Because your question is about PW, I recommend to move your question to ProjectWise Programming forum. To move existing discussion to another forum, use More > Move tool, available under your original post.

Can you provide more details (and examples, when possible) what you want to achieve?
Are you interested in e.g. a file's data (like size, date created etc.) or to harvest and extract data from the file content (e.g. number of cells in specific DGN file)?
With regards,

we are new to the Bentley ProjectWise and wanted to know if we can extract data automatically by calling the API? what is the URL to use? after extracting we will load the data into database. ProjectWise is the data source and load into database. Thanks

Sorry, but you do not answer my previous question: ProjectWise maintains files and metadata about files.
API (several options like fat client, REST API etc. exist) should be enough to access metadata. To extract data from the files itself, I guess you must implement own mechanism. ProjectWise is able to harvest specific data from specific data formats (typically DGN), but my knowledge about this are is limited.
Hi Jan, thanks, you mentioned we can extract using REST API, do you know the URL we can use to test on extracting the data?

Extract what? You still do not share any detail what kind of data your want to harvest. Whether metadata or files content.

As far as I know there is no "test access".
You wrote you have a project, so I assume you have access to ProjectWise. You must discuss with ProjectWise administator, if WSG is installed and how to access it.
