Getting Started: Bentley Web Services Gateway (WSG)

Getting Started: Bentley Web Services Gateway (WSG)

Consider this option when needing to (relatively quickly and easily) create your own application integrations with ProjectWise, supported providers, or even your own custom provider providing secure access to your own custom data and libraries mapped via schema to expose your own REST API extensions to be called from any operating system client API providing HttpClient APIs.

The Bentley Web Services Gateway (Download) current release (02.06.08.09 updated 8/18) supersedes the previous ProjectWise Web Services product.

    The product install provides:

    • The web services gateway application
    • ProjectWise plugin component, and
    • The Bentley Web Services Gateway (WSG REST API) Getting Started documentation and examples:
      • Documentation (..\Server\Pages\Documentation\index.html), and
      • IIS code samples: ..\Server\Pages\WSGExplorer.aspx and WSGExplorerServiceList.aspx

Consider reviewing the following help topics to Get Started quickly, open Index.html then review:

    • Overview
    • Getting Started (See: Quick Start Guide. Common API workflows)
    • API Reference

Feel free to Search then Post any programming specific questions on the Bentley Mobile App Development Forum.

NOTE: If new or existing projects are hosted via Bentley MANAGEServices (cloud services) please view the Managed Services Wikis and work closely with the owning company's assigned Project site administrator to: Obtain Access, Configure, or Provision; Bentley Web Services Gateway (WSG) instances.
