Revit Integration

With the release of ProjectWise V8i SELECTseries 4 Revit users will be excited to know of a couple of changes to the Revit Integration.

The first change is during Checkout and File Open. Previously the Central file and DAT files were locked until the local file was completely open. With this change files are not locked during the copy out process. Once the local file has been created, the Central File will be locked briefly during a Delta File Transfer of any changes they may have been synchronized during the copy out. This change makes the file open process much more efficient.

The second change is that we do not lock the Central File when the Workset Dialog is open. In fact if the Workset dialog is closed by selecting “Cancel” ProjectWise will never lock the Central file at all.
