  • I cannot seem to find this in the fulfillment center. Any help as to where it is in downloads?

  • Jon, we have not scheduled this for an update yet.

We started this integration early in 2014 before the CC SDK was released in June.    When we were scoping this and during the Beta the requirements were for CS6.   I would like to get feel for how many organizations are adopting CC 2014.1.  Do you have any insight into the market penetration of CC vs CS6?

  • Bill, how long do you think it will be till we may see the new version of InDesign Creative Cloud 2014.1 Integration available?

  • Charlie,  ProjectWise can mange Photoshop and Illustrator today using Application association,  which is a standard function of PW.

We created application integration for InDesign due to the inherent compound nature of these files.   InDesign uses references similar to MicroStation or AutoCAD.  Photoshop and illustrator files are  not compound which allows us to integrate with just  application association.  The difference between Application association and Application integration is as follows:

Application association defines the product path that is stored in PW, this can then be associated with a document or extension.   When the doc is double clicked PW passes the files out and launches the application with the doc.  PW then monitors the thread and when is closes we check the document into PW.   This is used by many users for things like text, photographs, sketchup and many other applications where the data is in PW and there is no deep application Integration..

Application integration is a deeper code based association between the products capabilities and PW,  user interfaces like New, open, Save, Save as are hooked and display documents stored in PW.  Depending on the level of the integration advanced things like reference association are written/tracked in PW and documents are added to sets.

  • Hi Bill.  Will the InDesign integration be expanded for other Adobe CS6 products, like Photoshop and Illustrator?

  • This is the first time Integration with InDesign has been released, we currently have no plans for supporting earlier versions.

  • Bill, is there any PW integration for CS5?
