Project teams looking to establish single source of truth source hyper- link direct to ProjectWise from SharePoint.
Hyperlink working in edit, as soon as page saved on SharePoint the hyperlink becomes inactive.
How do I establish a SharePoint Page hyperlink to Project Wise files?
Recently viewed item " To add project-wise web parts" unfortunately no Categories list appears for PW selection.
Kevin, this is exactly what i'm looking for thank you. I would certainly appreciate any guidance to implement this functionality on SharePoint.
Luc, Audrius - thank you for your comments and support, very much appreciated.
I don't have the solution but one way to get around this is to use Onenote. Add a Onenote Tab in the channel, then in the Onenote menu choose Open in App (click the Open in Browser dropdown arrow). When you click on a link in the app it will take you to the location in Projectwise.
Next time you can open your Onenote directly instead of accessing it through teams.
There is a user who is specifically trying to achieve opening files from SharePoint directly into ProjectWise Explorer Client. Based on your screenshot there should be an option that allows him to do this by default but that’s not happening. Is there a configuration that I need to do in order to get the ProjectWise Connector that you have mentioned on the post to work?
If yes- are there steps for it or what is the right approach.
Hi Kevin, we are attempting to add hyperlinks from a SharePoint site to files on ProjectWise Explorer and found this thread. If you are able to provide and further information on how to go about using custom field types to achieve this it would be very much appreciated.
I have managed to store hyperlinks to ProjectWise documents within a SharePoint List
The trick is to use the new ProjectWise Web and "Get Links" you can then chose from the advanced options whether or not you want users to be directed to Web or PWE.
Then due to a limitation in SharePoint on the length of URLs I created a short url using bity.
This can all be automated using Power Automate.
