ProjectWise Version 10.00.03.140 Attributes

Hello All,

After upgrading our datasource and Explorer clients to XX.3.140, we have noticed a very odd occurrence when populating custom built document attributes:

Once you make a selection or change in the field(s), it will 'strikethrough' on the header. In Version XX.1.167, it will 'Italicize' & put an asterisk (*) at the end of the header. None of these are existing issues with XX.3.49..

My questions is, what benefits are there to adding such a feature and why has it not been addressed in any release notes/updates?

All answers will be helpful here.

Thank you!

  • This "feature" shows an attribute was modified during document creation. This example being a simple 4 field dialog, this feature is probably not very necessary. We have customers with 100s of fields on that screen, a lot of which are auto filled in. In this case, some type of feedback to the user would be a good thing.  The strikethrough font was change in the .167 release to an italics font + an * at the end of the label. The problem users ran into with that is italics fonts are longer than non-italics and users had to go back to their forms and stretch those text boxes.

How about just a * at the end of the line and no font change. That still increases the length of the label but worse case, if the label is too short, the * just does not show up.
