Is there a way to hide previous versions of files in the "Open" dialog of the AutoCAD integration client? I have combed the documentation as well as the Civil 3D best practices white paper and I can't find any mention of it. we version files quite a bit, and in Explorer it's easy to hide them, but this setting isn't respected in the AutoCAD client. Is this possible? I guess I have the same question about the default view of a folder. The open command in autocad does not show the attributes that I want to show, or respect the order that I placed them in.
Hi Jon, this is possible in the datasource properties, on the settings tab, under "most recently used lists." However, this will apply to all applications, not just AutoCAD
This appears to be a setting allowing the user to limit items in the "Most Recently Used Lists". I'm not talking about the most recently used list, though. I want to show all of the files in a folder, but only the "current" version, not the previous versions.
There is a user setting that controls the display of versions. it turns them on/off for all apps.
If you have "Can change Document List settings" on for your users they can control this option themselves in ProjectWise Explorer.
Thanks for the reply. This is a setting in ProjectWise explorer - is this setting available in the AutoCAD client? If I change it in Explorer, whatever value it was set to at the time AutoCAD is started will be the setting until AutoCAD is closed and restarted. I can't figure out how to change this from the AutoCAD client. Likewise, changing the default view for an environment (in Explorer) does not appear to have any affect on how a folder from that environment is displayed in the AutoCAD client.
