We have recently deployed a new integration server with the last available version of the integration server and we have discovered that some of the commands does not work on this version. One of the commands that we use the most is to create storage areas.
Is anyone having similar issues?
It's working for us. Can you post what error you're getting and some sample code? Also can you create a storage area manually?
Hi kevin, Thanks for your quick response, yes we can create storage areas manually with no issues. Below is the code that is not working for us
New-PWStorageArea -HostName amrpwvip -Name testingfolder -Path \\amrnas\AMRPWInt-SC00\testingfolder -Description testingfolder
This the error we are receiving
Error 58002 creating storage area 'testingfolder'
did you try the cmdlet from PWPS module as well?
The error 58002 is "Error 58002: Invalid argument passed to dmsapi function."
which sounds like a bug in the cmdlet. It might be related to using a UNC for the Path, I've never tested doing that.
I've tried with both UNC path and local folder, and both are register on the Kernel file as approved storage locations. Same error.
we are using the 1.9.4 version of the PWPS_dab
what version of administrator do you have installed?
I just ran a new test on our sysetm and it's working for us. I did this in 64-bit PowerShell 5.1:
[Prod]> New-PWStorageArea -HostName pw-ccache -Name "KvH Testing" -Path "x:/PW/CBS/KvH_Test_20
19-02-11" -Description "KvH Test - OK to delete"
Created storage area 'KvH Testing' OK
so getting the dmsapi error is odd.
we are using 5.1.14 version of powershell, i can confirm that all the other commands I tested works... is just this one and it is critical for us
Other than making sure you're running the same version of PW Administrator & Explorer on the machine as is installed on your Integration Server i'm out of ideas. Probably have to wait until Brian Flaherty sees this.
