I have a large project with thousands of folders (yea, I know).
Usually at the lowest level, you will find the contract number folders (i.e. B01)
I need a way to search the WHOLE TREE for the B01 as the 'folder name' in the advanced search wizard.
--Add-PWSavedSearch doesn't seem to have an option for Folder Name
--Get-PWFolders won't let me search by just the name
Of course need this tonight/tomorrow morning (last minute request).
What version of PWPS_DAB are you using?
With version 184.108.40.206 and possibly earlier, there is a FolderName parameter that you can specify to find matching folders.
On my test datasource, there is a folder at the end of a branch named "Logos", so here's how I found that folder:
Otherwise, you could pipe the results to a WHERE-OBJECT:

Dan - thanks, yes that does work (found that about 5 minutes after my post)
I tried this though -
$PWFolder = Get-PWFolders -FolderID $PWF_Name.ProjectID -FolderName $DataPoint.'Design Package Number' -Slow -Verbose
And it returns all folders and subfolders for the folder tree that contain the folder name. Make sense?
also, if I search for a folder name B05, it also returns the folder B05A?
