Not enough space on drive C:\ to extract this package
A user has downloaded the Projectwise Client Setups and when launching the executable gets an error that there is not enough disk space to extract the package. The user has plenty of disk space so this should not be a problem.
For Projectwise Client setups you will need at least 1.5 gigs of disk space
Check that your system's temp directory is located on a disk with enough free space. You can view and change where your temp directory is pointing to by going to Control Panel, System, Advanced System Settings, Environment Variables, then under User Variables and System Variables look for TEMP and TMP.
Use 7-Zip to extract the pacakge which is a free extraction program you can download from the internet.
Once 7-Zip is installed, right click on the Projectwise Client setups exe and choose 7-Zip, extract the files to a folder on your hard drive.
It may be possible that the Projectwise Client Setups package was not full downloaded and is corrupt. Try downloading the package again.
Problem also applies to 08.11.11.590
What are the install steps to follow when you extract the files manually, using 7Zip?
The setup runs the hta file but unlike a MicroStation install, it does not detect what needs updating and what does not.
I had to rerun some MSI files after trying all of the HTA items before my PW upgrade worked.
Option 2 worked for me. However, the strange part is WinZip worked just fine the first time and fails subsequent tries.
