Error 55702 "Error checking out a file of document 'myfile.dgn'. The remote server is not currently configured to support the requested command. Please contact your server administrator."
User setup a new datasource and added the information to the gateway server so that users from the outside could connect and work on files. When a user was connecting from the outside and tried to checkout a file, the user would get the above error message and the file would not checkout. He is able to checkout files from the other datasources, but not from the new one.
All his datasources are on one integration server, the storage areas are on the same server.
We turned up logging and found that when the client tried to checkout the file, the server was providing the short name and not the FQDN name.
The line in the log looks like this:
INFO pwise.security - creating file access token flags: 0x1 object:'D:/Storage/dms00xxx\myfile.dgn' host:'myserver'
In ProjectWise Administrator, Login to the datasource, go to storage areas, right click properties on the storage area where the files live, correct the server name. Make sure it is the correct server where the files live and use the FQDN.
