There is a job ID but all the info gets stored in the distributions workdir.When a job runs, the file gets copied to the workdir\job ID folder, and information about the file is retained there, when you run the job again a checksum is run on the file to see if there is a change and if not, the file does not get processed.Note: Doing a reset on the job will cause the job to run full no matter what the checksum is. And also clearing cache in disk usage in OF admin will cause the full run as well.A newly created job will get a new ID, hence a new folder, first run will always process every file.
