ProjectWise Gateway service starts then stops. In the event viewer the ProjectWise gateway services has been stopped no explanation. The service then can be restarted but within a few minutes it stops, with no explanation in the event viewer.
In the dmskrnl.log file the following line was output:
2008-10-22 00:49:44,909 ERROR  pwise.network - Listener: Socket failed to bind to addr 126.96.36.199 port 5800. Status -10049ProjectWise cannot find the network card of the IP address so the Gateway service then stops.In the DMSKRNL.CFG file in the "Section defines listening settings (TCP connections)" TheBindAddress was set to an IP address that PW could not find. (The IP address that was in the error line of the dmskrnl.log file.)
After a valid IP address was set to the BindAddress then the Gateway service then started with no issues.
