Every Bentley product that I have worked with uses configuration files. These used to always be installed in the Program Files folders, but many have been moved out to ProgramData folders. Does IPLOT supply a similar option.
It is getting harder and harder to get read and write access to files in the Program Files folders as IT becomes more and more protective. We have some files we used to insert into the Program Files folders but am looking for an alternative location
TIA
The IPLOT configuration files are located inside the following locations-
C:\Program Files (x86)\ProjectWise InterPlot Organizer\config
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\InterPlot\IPLOT\config
While we are moving away from IPLOT while adopting Print organizer,I would strongly recommend using the approach followed by ProjectWise, which is to have a CFG file in those locations that check for additional CFG files in the C:\ProgramData\Bentley\ProjectWise\configuration folder. Iplot should do something similar.
We can place files in that tree without issue and add or replace them with user run scripts without issues that IT needs to be involved.
