ProjectWise Integration Module for Revit 2021.1 is now available for download:
The ProjectWise Integration Module for Revit download contains the installation package needed to integrate Revit 2021.1 with ProjectWise Explorer.
Does this version support Revit 2021.1.2 ?
Using ProjectWise Explorer 10.00.03.334, and Revit Integration Module 10.00.03.618:
We can install the integration module successfully on systems with Revit 2021.1.1, however if Revit 2021.1.2 is installed then the integration installer fails with the error window:
"Autodesk Revit 2021 is required to install ProjectWise Integration for Autodesk Revit 2021".
Clicking the OK button then displays the message "Setup Wizard Completed. The Wizard was interrupted before ProjectWise Integration for Autodesk Revit 2021 could be completely installed. Your system has not been modified. To complete the installation another time, please run setup again."
We then tried ProjectWise Explorer 10.00.03.434 (which includes the Revit 2021 integration module), but installation fails when it gets to the Revit 2021 integration installation part ("Failed to install ProjectWise Integration for Autodesk Revit 2021...Fatal Error during installation).
Did you find a resolution for this issue? I am seeing the same behavior with PW Explorer 10.00.03.334 and the Revit 2021 Integration 10.00.03.618. We are also using Revit 2021.1.2 and the Integration install fails to recognize Revit 2021 is already installed.
No, the issue has not been resolved. We also tried using the PW Explorer installer 10.00.03.434 which includes a Revit 2021 integration module, but that integration also failed to Install on systems with Revit 2021.1.2.
Is there a resolution or work around for this issue? I've had to disable Revit 2021 integration just to get PW v10.00.03.434 to even install.
Unfortunately, this was not properly resolved. I reached out to Bentley Support and they confirmed the issue and escalated it to a developer. This is from the support ticket that was closed. We ended up using Revit 2020 instead of 2021.
From the closed support ticket:
Contacted the user, had a screen sharing session, the user is using PWE10.00.03.334 and AutoCAD 2021 (update 1.2), however when they are trying to install integration module for Revit 2021 they are experiencing error "Autodesk Revit 2021 is required to install ProjectWise Integration for Autodesk Revit 2021".Tried installing PWE 10.00.03.434, however the installation fails with error code "Fatal error during installation."Checked the issue with Raul, he was able to integrate Revit 2021 1.2with ProjectWise Explorer 10.00.03.434 successfully. He suggested the below steps to the user.1.Uninstall PW Explorer – looking at the screen shot you sent, it appears there could be something wrong with PW Explorer2.Remove the PW Explorer folders3.Test Revit 2021 1.2 and ensure all is working4.Install PW Explorer 10.00.03.434
I experienced this behavior on an isolated computer a few weeks ago. After cycles of uninstalling Revit, Installing CAD with Revit 2021 disabled, and hours of debugging, it looks as though this behavior is caused by renaming of the PW Explorer. Renaming the installer (or presumably downloading multiple versions) caused the Revit 2021 sub-installer to not extract correctly from the PW Explorer Installer exe, and roll back. This rollback behavior occurred both when PW Explorer was installed for the first time and when Revit integration was added using Modify
